What kind of cigar is good as an introductory cigar?

I am interested in starting to smoke cigars on occasion. I want to know what cigars are good for people who want to start. I heard the Montecristo no.4 is a good one.
Ok, smoking on occasion will not kill you. And I did not ask about the health risks so don’t act like my god damn doctor.

Hehehe I like the added part. There really is no good intro cigar as everyone’s tastes are different. Myself, I like a maduro wrapper. Usually very dark in color with a slight bite to it and more of an earthy taste. My top 2 in this category are Maria Mancini (smoking one right now, its good) and La Gloria Cuban. Both run in the $7 range. Not sure what your price range is but a VERY economical way to experiment to to go to www.thompsoncigar.com or www.jrcigar.com and check out their sampler packs. Both also have good cigar primer reading so you don’t look like a jackass when you walk into a smoke shop. Bear in mind, cigars are a hobby, not a habit. You may also want to check out www.theblackbandproject.com. Check out the videos, much of what they say is true. Good luck and happy smoking!
